First of all, thanks for your support for our trip to the dentist! My man is doing very well. This week, I decided to do a simple seven card spread for each day of the next week. I used the Gilded Tarot, as it always provides me with clear, no nonsense answers.
Today: 10 of Pentacles – A field mouse sits atop a treasure chest, spilling over with pentacles. A turtle walks through the grass surrounding it, and the tree boughs frame the hidden treasure. This is pretty fitting, as today is payday at my new job. While it appears the mouse has discovered the treasure, the turtle benefits too, as four of the pentacles spill over where he can reach. It is a good reminder that while I benefit, I need to give what I can to others.
Saturday: The High Priestess – This lady reminds me of the Mardi Gras! She is wearing a blue mask over her eyes, and is dressed in sheer fabric graced with stars. Her short hair is also covered in stars, and she floats gently over the waters, her back arched gracefully between two pillars. The cresent moon in the background frames her head. She is one with the secrets of the universe, and takes no notice of the outer world. While I have plans to see some family on Saturday, I will also find time to contemplate my own inner life. This is welcome, as I need the rest!
Sunday: The Sun – The sun towers over the rest of the universe, as the rest of the planets circle dutifully in their orbits. The zodiac wheel cuts through their orbit, enclosing Jupiter and Saturn. For me, this tower is about self fulfillment and empowerment. Everything I set my mind to will come easily, due to my shining personality. I work all day Sunday, but perhaps I will find the time and energy to work on my own projects as well. We’ll see.
Monday: Page of Wands – Another high energy card! This page dutifully carries the wand, gingerly in one hand. He (or possibly she?) is dressed in a red tunic and hat, with orange sleeves and tights. He walks along a castle wall, which is surrounded by orange trees. Another work day, this card suggests that I will still be drawn toward my energy reserves, and seeking better things for my life.
Tuesday: Death - This card is very intriguing to me, as everything in it appears abstract and symbolic, including the figure of death himself! He is featured as a head in a medieval helmet, with chainmail covering where the shoulders should be. In front of him is a black shield lined with gold, with an image of a white horse. There is a black flag with a white rose, much as a knight would carry during fanfare. He is surrounded by whisps of black and purple. While death primarily stands for change, the rest of the cards surrounding would indicate that this Tuesday I will transition from high energy pursuits to more stable and grounded ones.
Wednesday: Judgement - This card has the figurehead of an archangel, with a glowing golden trumpet, calling the spirits of humankind to rise again. They float up ethereally along the sides of the trumpet, among the clouds. For me, Judgement appears when I need to forgive myself or others. No matter what has happened in the past, it is done, and only forgiveness and reconciliation can bring what is needed to move forward.
Thursday: 4 of Pentacles - This smug man looks very sure of himself! He carries four pentacles firmly in his arms. He is dressed in rich purples and greens, and stands under an arch at moonrise. He almost appears bored with his riches, yet does nothing with them. While I may have the inclination Thursday to remain stuck in my rut, I need to break free and enjoy what life has given me. No one can remain static for long, and the future will blossom when I put forth the needed effort.
Overall, the week looks pretty good! I will experience life’s treasures on both the material and spiritual plane, as well as the needed changes to make my life more meaningful. Although they may be difficult, I can succeed!
If I remember, I’ll stop by in the comments and let you know how my week is going! I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Deb’s C-for-Career Spread
Overview: Deb: I’m happy to bring you good news across the board regarding your career. While you’re facing some challenges right now in regard to less-than-trustworthy business associates and perhaps even a boss who was taking your colleagues’ side, the changes in your current work environment are paving the way to better things down the line for you, including greater fulfillment in your career.
I don’t get the impression that the “news” you received was a lay-off, but perhaps a bad review, a change in job responsibilities or some other situation that, on the surface seems negative, but will actually be a positive step forward for you.
Pentacles along with cups in the spread show your new career path will be financially lucrative as well as spiritually and emotionally fulfilling.
Your Past Experience in your Career: Nine of Wands: You had it all, as shown by the Nine of Wands, the “Victory” card. Well-respected, organized, and financially successful, “Employee of the Month” didn’t even begin to describe your success! You were on top of the world.
Your Current Job Experience: Five of Wands/King of Swords: Spiteful, petty co-workers, however, had to see you fall. Gossip and deceit came into play in your workplace, represented by the Five of Wands. This card describes a battle you can’t possibly win, because it’s guerrilla warfare and you’re just not all that sneaky by nature. (That’s a good thing, sweetie—don’t stoop to their level).
Combine these forces with a mercurial boss, represented by the King of Swords, and you have a recipe for discontent. If his astrological sign is *not* Gemini, he contains the traits of one… that is to say, “the twins” in their most negative representation; he is two-faced and changes his mind on a whim. He’s taking “their” side on things, perhaps because birds of a feather and all.
SerenityBly adds: I always get the impression 5s in every suit are about fighting against the wind. An enemy you cannot see or who doesn’t exist. Senseless battles. Wands represent a battle of the mind rather than physical, emotional, or financial.
What You Want From a Job: Two of Pentacles: On the surface, this doesn’t sound like a lofty goal, but in reality, Deb seeks balance, as well as the opportunity to excel in a multitude of tasks and maintain a variety of duties on her plate. She’s a champion multi-tasker and wants a job that will keep her engaged by permitting her to use these talents.
What You NEED From a Job: The Magician: Supporting her “wants” in a job, the Magician shows Deb’s desire to have a job that allows her to use her talents to her maximum abilities, as well as a desire for spiritual growth within her career path. This Major Arcana, representing her needs, is her “wants,” amplified, showing that she is strongly in touch with her desires. I wouldn’t be surprised if Deb journals and/or uses the Law of Attraction to manifest her desires.
What you have to offer – Your Greatest Strengths: The 8 of Pentacles: A great card to have in the “strengths” slot of this spread, the 8 of Pentacles shows Deb is a hard worker, and an independent worker who is highly-skilled. She doesn’t need special training or a boss looking over her shoulder to get the job done. However, she needs someone to trust her to get the job done, something severely lacking in her current, but passing, situation.
Your Career Future – Your Action Plan: The Ace of Cups: This “new beginning” card in this position presents a new job opportunity for Deb, one that will be emotionally fulfilling as well as financially lucrative. The new position will permit Deb to showcase her strengths in a supportive environment, while stepping away from co-workers who are only bringing her down.
A clarification card in this slot, Strength, tells me the new position will permit Deb to use all her feminine strengths and abilities; her dreams for an emotionally and financially fulfilling career will manifest as a result of her inner strength. With two Major Arcanas in this spread, including one in the outcome slot, keep an eye out for BIG things in your future!
Serenity Bly adds: My intuition tells me that she wasn’t finding the position she was in fulfilling on a personal level. It was a paycheck, one that created a lot of headaches because of the unfriendly work environment. She’s being given an opportunity to step back…
It’s a new start and a chance to create new relationships in the workplace. Ultimately, what she’s coming into is an opportunity to build a career path doing what she loves around supportive people.

With swine flu on the loose, and rising concern about medical coverage (particularly those who’ve lose coverage along with their job), and everybody worried, in general, about health and wellness, Miss Michele has customized a spread to address these particular concerns.
The five-card W-shaped “W-for-Wellness” spread looks at a person’s past and current health, what they can do to improve their wellbeing, and possible future outcome.
Like our other specialized “alphabet” spreads here at Future-Tarot, the W-for-Wellness spread is available for $20. Order yours today!
Future-Tarot reader Hannah wants to know: “How is my current relationship going to turn out?”
Overview: Miss Michele is happy to report good news for Hannah. The reading reveals a new relationship that is going to turn into a significant endeavor. Hannah and her partner complement each other in a variety of ways. Things move rapidly, as evidenced by the two Wands in this reading, while three Major Arcana show great significance in the relationship. In fact, the possible final outcome, the Three of Rods, may well indicate a marriage or other significant commitment.
I am also sensing, from the last two cards in this spread, that there is debate about a possible move. Hannah might be ready for the change that a new setting will provide; even if it doesn’t quite add up to the best decision on paper, it may be worth it to go for it – and the outcome if she moves should be better than a long-distance relationship or a break-up.
Past experience in love: The Magician: Hannah actually had pretty good luck with love in the past. The Magician shows that she was able to use all her talents to create the experience she wanted. These relationships didn’t work out simply because they weren’t “meant to be” but AH is taking what she learned from them to make future relationships stronger.
Current experience in love: The Sun: This Major Arcana shows the start of a very good, albeit young, love. However, this is not a relationship of blind lust; it is well thought-out, with an emphasis on analysis. This is supported by the Magician in this spread. Hannah, you are a smart woman and are applying what you know to this relationship.
What you want from a love relationship: Six of Wands: Be aware, however, of overthinking the relationship or over-analyzing it. Let go and enjoy! You want someone strong and capable of fighting by your side in any battle. Together, you are an unbeatable force. The Six of Wands, the Victory card, shows just how much you want this relationship to succeed; and it seems to be doing just that. It feels as if things couldn’t get better. I get the sense, however, simply by your asking this question, that you are waiting for the other shoe to drop. And, true, the Six of Wands can indicate “success for now” but all the other cards support the assertion that this relationship is meant to last.
What is hidden, what you want but don’t realize it: The Fool: You need someone to counter your maturity and your analytical mind. Sometimes, you are too thoughtful for your own good, and you seek a bit of spontaneity. Is your current partner the type to whisk you away for a weekend jaunt with just the clothes on your back and a change of (racy) underwear? That’s what you need. While it’s an oxymoron to try to “plan” spontaneity, you can work at it. Talking it out is never a problem for you, so tell him exactly what you’d like him to do; send him the link to that base-jumping vacation or, if that’s a bit too extreme for you, suggest a weekend in the country: no shirt, no shoes, no cell phone.
What you have to give your lover: Knight of Swords: Miss Michele is not at all surprised to see a Sword representing your strength in love, or what you have to offer a lover. After all, Swords are the cards of sharp intellect and you have that—if you’ll pardon the pun—in spades! However, the Knight of Swords is the court card who is always ready for a fight. You will challenge your lover to be a better man for you. Don’t be ready to call it quits on him if he doesn’t comply right away, however. There is a future here. Hang in there.
Possible future experience in love: Three of Wands: The Three of Rods indicates a possible journey—figurative or literal. It also often signifies a marriage proposal, and this change in “status” is supported by the Knight of Swords. Stay focused, communicate and don’t be afraid to move forward in this relationship.

So my man is going to the dentist, to have his teeth pulled today. It’s much needed, but I know he will be in a lot of pain. So I asked the Deviant Moon Tarot what I can do to be supportive of him as he recovers. I chose a simple three card spread, with no positions, to get an overall view of the coming days and weeks. Hopefully he’ll bounce back quickly, but we will see.
Knight of Swords – The Devil – Seven of Swords
Knight of Swords: It’s time for me to swoop in and save the day! This knight is ready to charge, with his horse reared back, teeth bared. Under the knight’s armour he is dressed in red and gold, empowered to take on any adversary. He stands outside the castle walls, which gives the appearance of defense, although a good offense is a great defense. My goal here is to make sure that I am doing everything I can to support my man, and defend him from any attacks. Possibly watching closely for signs of infection, and making sure he eats properly! Well, as much as you can after having your teeth pulled, anyway.
The Devil: This cartoonish figure creeps along in a menacing, yet happy stance. He has metallic wings, and his skin is all red, just as you would imagine an idealized devil would be. He walks on a meteor with volcanic openings spewing smoke. In this reading, it does suggest that I indulge him in his wants and needs, and not become cross with him even when his requests seem strange. He is the only one who will know what he can handle, and I need to be supportive.
Seven of Swords: This poor sword eater has seemingly failed a number of times. He has five swords laying about him, as he lays on the ground. His legs are in the air, and he has one sword balanced along his feet, tied to another he is trying to insert into his mouth. It does remind me of the dentist! This one suggests that while the goal is the elimination of tooth pain, it is going to take more pain to get there. A small sacrifice now leads to greater rewards in the future. When the going gets tough, both of us would do well to remember this fact.
Overall, it seems like everything should go as well as planned. Nothing too unexpected here, so we can continue on with our plans without much disruption. I will be his champion, and supporter throughout this difficult time. Wish us luck, as we’re heading out the door very shortly!
