It was lovely reading for Susie, who has the energy of a vibrant young lady in a learning and transition stage of her life. The next 12 months bring adversity but Susie stands up to it all with a powerful inner strength to come out achieving her dreams. Miss Michele relied on her go-to deck, Hanson-Roberts, for this reading.

August: Temperance: Susie is in a learning period, where she is learning balance, caring, sharing and equality. She’s undergoing a major life change – which may have actually prompted her desire for a tarot reading. She is on the right path with the steps she is taking, and will reap the rewards in September.

September: Four of Rods: Miss Michele is getting a strong vibe of a powerful romantic relationship, and possibly even an engagement in September, represented by the Four of Rods. The Knight of Pentacles as a clarification card, supports this notion. Knights bring a change in status, and this one shows that, moving into the future, Essie will be well-protected, financially-stable and in a much more mature partnership than any she’s experienced in the past.

October: Seven of Swords: Someone may not be straightforward with Susie. Her best bet is to walk away from those she can’t trust. It could be Susie, in fact, who is simply not acting like herself. Has the stress of wedding planning permitted Bridezilla to emerge, or are there other stressors in Susie’s life causing her to act out of character?

November:The Magician: The Magician indicates learning to manipulate your surroundings to your advantage. Susie is growing, and again, learning how to best influence people. When the Bridezilla act fails (and I’m using Bridezilla as a metaphor – it could be any situation in which Susie simply wants her way and doesn’t want to hear the other side), she uses diplomacy to her advantage. Susie may also be learning a new skill to advance her career.

December:Eight of Rods: The Eight of Rods frequently heralds a new job, purchase of a home, or other significant event. Actions move swiftly, leaving Susie with little time to think before she gets exactly what she hoped for. This card also signifies the whirlwind nature of the holidays; Susie will be able to accomplish everything she takes on, with none of that dreaded holiday burn-out.

January: The Tower: The new year brings a Tower moment for Susie, when everything she knows seemingly comes crashing down around her. It’s important to remember, in times like this, that the old guard *must* fall away to make room for new, better opportunities. When one door closes, a window opens — and all those other clichés! Miss Michele also hopes that, with warning that this situation is coming, Susie will have a better chance of handling it. After all, bad things are no fun, but it’s even worse when you’re blindsided. This card could also indicate a complete change in Susie’s thought processes, the next level of her growth. There’s no reason to dread the new year.

February: Five of Cups: January’s “Tower moment” leaves Susie feeling emotionally empty, depressed and distraught. She feels lonely and unsure where to turn. But she’ll get through it.

March: Strength: In March, Susie finds the strength to face everything the Universe has tossed at her in the past few months. She pushes through and comes out a stronger woman for the experience. Miss Michele loves this card, the pure love of the woman petting the lion. The woman in the card gets her strength through unconditional love, a true spiritual and metaphysical acceptance of everything in the world. Hang in there, Susie, you are the woman in the card and you can do it all!

April: Six of Pentacles: April finds Susie feeling stronger and more sure-footed. She’s receiving the rewards she has deserved for her hard work and persistence. Now, she finds it extremely important to be just and fair in her dealings with others. Her fortune will be doled out to those who deserve it.

May: Nine of Pentacles: After such a rough new year, May brings Essie greater fortune and more confidence. Susie is beginning to get in touch even more with her feminine side. Pregnancy may be on her mind, which is supported by the Empress, the overview card for this 12-month time period. Logically placed following the Six of Pentacles, the Nine of Pentacles is a card of “reaping what you sow,” and the Universe owes Susie some very good things.

June: The Lovers: This card often indicates a choice. In this case, however, it indicates a true (and very deep) love relationship. It’s the honeymoon before the wedding. It’s romance and roses. It supports the “fertility” cards in this spread indicating a move toward procreation.

July: Three of Cups: The Three of Cups, like the earlier Four of Cups, can indicate a celebration or a wedding. Miss Michele is reading this card very literally and exactly in that way. If Susie isn’t a June bride, July may be the month.

Overview: The Empress: One of several “fertility cards” in the deck and in this spread, the emphasis this year is not only on Susie actually bearing a child, but also on her building and growing her own world and her family. It’s so inspiring and fun to read about a young woman in this stage of her life.

That Tower card seems extremely out of place in the beginning of 2010 but, not surprisingly, Susie uses her strength, intelligence and all she has learned in the six months prior to overcome the surprising news of change.

Cards: Two cups, three pentacles, two rods, 6 major arcane – The preponderance of Major Arcana show an extremely significant transition year for Susie

Miss Michele and Serenity Bly wish her all the best and hopes she will check back and let us know how the next 12 months are going.

A funny thing happened on the RadioX show last Wednesday night. Serenity Bly couldn’t make it, so yours truly, Miss Michele, provided free tarot readings on her own for John Ale’s listeners at www.radioxshow.com.

I should tell you that Serenity Bly had been asking me if I could do a love reading for her when I got a chance, but I hadn’t made the time to do it yet.

Then “Serenity” phoned in with a question: “Is my new man the right one?” she asked.

As Miss Michele focused on the lovely Serenity Bly, an answer revealed itself in the cards.

Only after the show did she discover that Serenity was not Serenity… and, in fact, the querent’s name in the chat room was (ironically enough) NotThatGirl.

Miss Michele asked Serenity — NotThatGirl — how accurate the reading was. Understandably, the querent seemed confused by what the cards revealed. Not only was she “NotThatGirl,” it was NotHerReading!

And so, Serenity’s reading… which actually offers a promising future in the love department.

And yes, if you are wondering, OUR Serenity’s spread was quite accurate, too!

To meet Miss Michele and Serenity Bly “in person” (or as close as you’ll get via the InterWeb), drop by our chat room Wednesday at 10 AM. How’s that for a segue?

Hope to see you there!

Your Past Experience in Love: The Eight of Wands in this position indicates that you tended to jump head-first into relationships. You were in a whirlwind romance, but it may have left you feeling empty when the flame died.

Your Current Experience in Love: Three of Wands: What remains of your love relationship is more like a business arrangement – a steady, stable partnership. You work well together, but I’m not seeing a lot of love here at all.

What you Want from a Love Relationship: Temperance: This Major Arcana spotlights your loving nature. You are feminine, giving, caring and loving. This is coming through so loud and clear in the cards. You want someone who will return that love to you and also appreciate it. Think of your heart as a cup – you want someone who can fill it up.

What you Need from a Love Relationship:
The Five of Swords indicates a certain passion – you don’t need a business relationship disguised as a romance. You want someone you can share your love with. Be careful of deception though… the time will arrive when you need to come clean.

What you have to offer in a relationship: Again, the Queen of Cups shows your loving nature. You are ready to start over with someone who appreciates that in you.

Possible Final Outcome:
The Seven of Wands: The Seven of Wands indicates a victory, but not a decisive one. There may be a battle or an encounter between your two loves – not a physical fight but your current partner will be ready to fight for your love in the metaphorical sense. Your new relationship has potential but, like anything worth having, it will take work.

Otherwise known as the classic three card spread “Body, Mind, Spirit,” this tarot spread provides a quick glance at a person’s overall health and wellness. This is good for when you need to easily see which areas are going well, and which areas need improvement. I’ve been feeling a little drained lately, and decided to do this spread for myself with the Gilded Tarot Deck.

Body – Mind – Spirit

Today’s Draw: Eight of Cups – Temperance – The Devil

Eight of Cups: This is the card of letting go of past influences, and you could say that I have let my body go! I haven’t been keeping up a good exercise routine, and have indulged in a few more sweet treats than I should have. In this card, a young man with two feathers in his cap is turned away in pursuit of a new adventure. He has his walking stick in hand, and is looking out towards the moonrise above the mountains. In the foreground is eight cups, some overturned. There is also a small brown creature, which I am really not sure what it is. At first glance, I thought it could be a platypus, but it could also be a mole. Either way, it is lying there, asleep and not traveling with the adventurer.

This card advises that I should let go of old habits that aren’t serving me well, and pursue new adventures in diet and exercise. Try a new sport that I’ve never explored before, along with new healthy foods. I cannot let my fears and confusion prevent me from doing what it takes to have good health.

Temperance: This is the card of alchemy and synergy, of blending two opposites to create a new force. This fire-haired lady hold two cups, one filled with fire, the other with water. The two blend together seamlessly as a river of energy flows between the cups. She is dressed in a sheer orange dress, and floats in the sky in front of a planet, perhaps Mercury.

In the mind position, this card suggests that I reconcile opposite opinions in my mind. The confident and bold side of my personality and the shy, cautious side need to work in harmony. Opposing thoughts can either create conflict in the mind, or can be integrated and used when appropriate. As I reach for the stars, I need to ensure that I am not at war with myself, and am thinking correctly to reach my goals.

The Devil: Unlike the Rider Waite Smith Deck where the Devil is a demon-like creature, this devil is a man who is dealing with his inner demons. He wears a mask with ram horns, and a star on the forehead. Surrounding him is a lake of fire, which illustrates how succumbing to our inner indulgences can burn out our strength, energy, and spirit.

This card shows that I have been a tad too indulgent lately. While we all need to relax and have fun once in a while, letting ourselves follow every whim can lead down a path of trouble. Spiritual discipline is important, as it allows us to explore our emotions and desires in a controlled manner. We can determine what the best course of action is logically, and not be slaves to our inner desires. To be able to remove the mask, and see ourselves for who we truly are, is a great gift that brings self-awareness and healing.

Overall, it seems like I have a lot of work to do, to bring myself into a healthy state. That is the beauty of the tarot cards, as they allow you to see where you have room to grow and blossom. Allow the tarot to point you in the right direction, and your life will reach unexpected new heights of success and healing.

In the last of our “free readings” series (at least for now), Miss Michele reads for Joan Kremer, who says:

Beautiful site! Full of great information! If your 3-card reading offer still stands, I’d love to have one. I feel like I’m at a crossroads in my career and would love guidance on the best area for me to invest my energies.

The cards do certainly indicate that you are at a crossroads in your career!

The Major Arcana Judgment, in the past, shows a choice must be made. In the past, you may have felt as if you were judged wrongly, not rewarded for your work, and scarcely recognized. You may have even been penalized or punished for things that were not your fault or your doing.

Temperance, in the near future, shows, still, the duality of the choice you must make. You’ll be struggling with your decision for a time; this will not be a rapid change. However, you are learning to rely more on your intuition, and the forces of the Universe that are at play, which want to see you succeed. That’s right… the Universe is on your side! Like the water at the feet of the angel on the Temperance card in my Tarot of a Moon Garden deck, let the energy flow around you and the answers will come. Meditate, step away from it all and take some time to yourself before moving forward.

When you do make a move, cut the apron strings entirely. Focus your energies on the project that calls to you, do not waste time on other endeavors that move you away from your life’s goal. This is exemplified in the Death card in the future, which indicates a need to let go. The passing may hurt, and there will be a mourning period for the loss of your old self, but it’s important to move forward. Three Major Arcanas show the Universe’s influence is strong in your question and in your future. Listen to your intuition and you’ll find the answers. You know the right path. Don’t let the past haunt you. Make a clean break and go for it.

Thanks for visiting!

Mysti trades car advice (“go with a Honda!”) for a Tarot reading. She poses two questions to Miss Michele:

Is this marriage going to finally happen? Will our family finally grow?

So Miss Michele asks the tarot, “What will be so between Mysti and her significant other?”

What a great reading to begin a New Year! Miss Michele started with a three-card spread, but felt called to draw two more cards. The short answers to Mysti’s questions are: yes and yes.

Temperance, a Major Arcana, in the past indicates an equilibrium in the relationship. Life is moving on, both parties are happy. They have learned the art of compromise, sharing and all that a happy relationship entails. They are content.

The present, the Queen of Cups, indicates Mysti’s desire to give more. In fact, the card represents Mysti herself, the nurturer and caregiver. Mysti’s intuition tells her it’s time to take this relationship to the next level.

The Tarot’s advice comes in the Page of Rods. Pages often indicate the delivery of good news. They herald change of a good sort. The Tarot advises Mysti to use her intuition, keep her eyes open for hints and indications that her significant other is ready to take the next step. Rods indicate the final stages of activity before a change. The Tarot advises Mysti to be patient. This card may also symbolize Mysti’s son, who will play a role in this next step of their life… perhaps he will figure in to the proposal or be a ring bearer in the wedding?

Hidden Influences show all good things in the future. The World card, the epitome of the Major Arcana and all that is complete, reveals itself. The hidden influence isn’t that hidden at all. The Universe has a desire to give Mysti all she wants. This is the end of a phase and the start of a new one. The Tarot tells Mysti to prepare for the next step in life.

The Outcome, logically following the culmination of all that is good, is the Ace of Cups, a card of new beginnings. This card can indicate gifts, the next stage in a relationship, or a pregnancy.

The Tarot didn’t give us a time frame, but coming as it has at the beginning of the New Year, Miss Michele is inclined to say the events will be put into motion in 2008.
